Crusty Rib Eye Steak with Truffle Butter 





So simple but delicious! A dish that is easy to make but easily impresses!

Ingredients:
500g rib eye steak on the bone
sea salt flakes 
grapeseed oil
truffle butter

Method:
  1. Let steak stand for 30 minutes at room temperature, pat dry with paper towel
  2. Sprinkle sea salt flakes on steak and rub grapeseed oil into the meat
  3. Heat pan (I used my debuyer carbon steel pan - conducts heat really well) on high, add steak for 30 secs and turn heat down to medium. Cook steak on both sides for 3-5 minutes until a nice crust forms (this should be medium-rare)
  4. Remove steak from pan and rest covered for 10 minutes
  5. Add steak back to the pan and sear on medium high heat for 30 sec - 1 minute on each side with a knob of plain butter, ensuring you coat the steak with the melted butter. 
  6. Serve steak with a knob of truffle butter on top
